Two Days National Seminar cum Awareness Programme on Bee keeping on 30 -31st May, 2023
Small Farmers Agribusiness Consortium (SFAC), New Delhi and National Bee Board (NBB) in collaboration with Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Alwar (Navagaon), Shri Karan Narendra Agriculture University (SKNAU), Jobner, Rajasthan organized a Two Days National Seminar cum Awareness Programme on Bee keeping on 30 -31st May, 2023 at Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Alwar, Rajasthan. The event was attended by more than 300 honey beekeepers from 35 honey based FPOs, entrepreneurs, value chain players and stakeholders, officials and experts from various state/ national level organizations and private players Prof. Balraj Singh, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, SKNAU, Jobner was the Chief Guest during the event. the other eminent speakers during the seminar were Mr. R. K. Bhat, Chairman, Gramajanya Farmers Producer Company Ltd., Karnataka, Dr. N.S. Bhat, Retired Professor & Head, Department of Apiculture, University of Agriculture Sciences, GKVK, Banglore, Karnataka, Dr Manisha Narayan, Deputy Director, FSSAI, Dr. Rajni Arora, APEDA, Dr. Pankaj Sharma Director, ICAR-DRMR, Shri Sunil Kumar Saxena, Assistant Director, Dr. S. K. Khinchi, Assoc. Professor, College of Agriculture, Naugor, Agriculture University Jodhpur (Raj.), Dr. K. Lakshmi Rao, Retired Assistant Director, Central Bee Research and Training Institute, Pune, Maharashtra, CEO & BODs of Prohoney Krishi Fed Producer Company Limited, Mandawar, Alwar, Arjun Beeswax Industries, Vadodara, Gujrat, CEO & BODs of Terrason Agro Krishi Fed Producer Company Limited, Tijara, Alwar, Dr. H. P Meghwal, Asstt. Prof. Entomology, PI Honey bee project, Kota Agriculture University Kota Rajasthan, Hardik Joshi, Founder & Director,HoneyVeda The key deliberations focused on scientific/advanced Beekeeping technologies, value addition and processing, compliances, branding, packaging and marketing of honey and other bee hive products for Honey FPC beekeepers and stakeholders. FPOs also exhibited varied range of Honey and other bee hive products like candles, lip balms, moisturizers etc. during the event -

Dr. Vijaya Lakshmi Nadendla, IAS, MD-SFAC, and Shri Shashank Kumar, Founder & CEO, DeHaat signed MoU for the formation and promotion of Agri-Value Chain FPOs during FY 2022-23 under the Central Sector Scheme of Formation and Promotion of 10,000 FPOs on 22.07.2022 at SFAC, New Delhi. -
