Small Farmers’ Agribusiness Consortium (SFAC) has been a facilitating agency for implementing the schemes Venture Capital Assistance (VCA) and promoting Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs).

VCA assists agripreneurs to make investments in setting up agribusiness projects through financial participation and provides financial support for preparation of bankable Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) through Project Development Facility (PDF). FPOs are the collectives from farming community which on linkage with post harvest facilities like cold storages, processing units, ripening chambers etc. will enhance the bargaining power thus ensuring remunerative price for their produce. A common interface will be helpful in linking the existing FPOs with the VCA units and create synergy among the verticals of SFAC.

To increase the out-reach of the VCA scheme, enabler webpage was proposed by Managing Director (SFAC), which would provide a common platform for mapping the existing VCA facilities with the FPOs. The platform envisages the expansion of the new VCA units in the clusters where the FPOs have been promoted.
